Coconut Beach Logo
Coconut Beach was formed in 1998 by three parrotheads who wanted to supply reasonably priced apparel, jewelry, and parrotphernalia to others with similar interests. We are lovers of the ocean, beach, and tropical paradises. We try to enjoy the laid back life whenever we can escape from the reality of the daily grind, and hope we can make it a little easier for you to do so as well.

Courier Post

Our goal has been to become the premier supplier of your tropical-wear and parrothead needs by providing superior products at a competitive price, with second-to-none customer service. We will be building our product lines & will eventually have the best product selection of parrotphernalia & tropical-wear on the internet.

Whether you are going to a tropical paradise or just want to get into that ´tropical state-of-mind´, our goal is to outfit you for your journey.

We are also doing our best to make you feel comfortable about on-line credit card ordering by offering you a secured server. We will also accept orders via regular mail or fax.

I would like to give you some recent history on the people behind Coconut Beach. As with everything in life, we have experienced a lot of changes over the last few years. Some of our friends out there already know that I sustained some pretty severe injuries in a car accident in 2000, and it has taken a long time and a lot of surgeries to recover as much as I have, albeit not completely. Some of you may even have noticed me hobbling around during MOTM or any of the other events, or noticed that I was unable to make it to some of the events due to the injuries, surgeries, etc.

One of our founding partners, Mark, got married in 2004 and also returned to school to obtain his MBA. Unfortunately his new obligations have just forced him into early “retirement”…at least from this part-time venture!

Chris (that’s me) & Debbie were blessed with a daughter in 2002 (our 2nd child). Life as we knew it changed soon thereafter.

Flashing parrot CJ

Our first child, the best flashing parrot bead salesperson at MOTM in Key West, was diagnosed with a gastrointestinal disease, "Eosinophilic Esophagitis". His body reacts adversely to food, mistaking the food proteins for invaders (like a parasite). Eating food has been causing damage to his esophagus, causing him pain, nausea, vomiting, fevers, and general illness, so he is now receiving all of his nutrients in the form of an elemental formula, which is delivered through a gastric feeding tube (g-tube). We are currently going through the long, tedious process of trying to find some foods that his body does NOT react to. If interested, you can read about the disease at:
APFED (American Partnership For Eosinophilic Disorders).

If anyone or any group would like to fundraise for EE (Eosinophilic Esophagitis and) EGID (Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease) research, it would be greatly appreciated by all of the families affected by this disease. You can obtain fundraising info at APFED as well.

Our daughter was experiencing similar yet different G.I. problems and had a feeding tube from 11/04 to the end of 5/05, but is finally eating, growing, and thriving. Fortunately, she seems to have escaped the problem that her big brother has.

Needless to say, all of this has put a strain on our ability to effectively operate Coconut Beach as a part-time business. Yes, I actually do have a full-time day job as well. I am hoping that our customers and friends will understand that if you do not receive your order or a response to your inquiries in a timely manner, it is not because I am intentionally avoiding you. I will get back to you as soon as I am able, but I am currently running the company on my own. Debbie and I ask for your patience through this difficult period, and we thank you for all of your past help in turning this small business venture into a fun adventure!
